Fairy tale Day

Dear Parents,

Just a reminder about Thursday the 2nd of July. We are having a special dress up day to celebrate all the wonderful literature we have looked at this term. Your child can come dressed as their favourite character from one of the following stories.

The Three Little Pigs
The Three Billy Goats Gruff and the Troll
Goldilocks and the Three Bears
Jack and the Beanstalk
Little Red Riding Hood
Animals from "Who Sank the Boat"
Rosies's Walk
Where the Wild Things Are
The Rainbow Fish

Plus dragons, princes, princesses, knights, fairies etc

We also wanted to have a "wild rumpus" ( party in the forest) just like the characters in
"Where the Wild Things Are". Can your child bring in a small plate or item to share at morning recess. This might involve;cheese and biscuits, popcorn, fruit, cupcakes, sausage rolls or piklets. The plate only has to be small and please adhere to our nut free policy and egg free would be preferred for children with allergies.

Thankyou for your support in making our last week of Term special for our little hard workers (who have done extremely well to make it to week 11).

Miss Horrocks.

GRANDPARENTS DAY

GRANDPARENTS DAY: WEDNESDAY 24th of June

Hi PPH families,

In the OLC newsletter is information regarding 'Grandparents Day'. This Wednesday your child's grandparents are very welcome to come and visit Pre-Primary and the school on Wednesday morning from 9am-11am.
They can come into PPH and enjoy sharing the morning session with their grandchild. This might involve some classroom art activities, games and stories. There might even be a special song performed by the children for their special grandparents.
If they need to share their time with other siblings that's more than fine and can move between rooms.
Children whose grandparents cannot attend will be involved in all activities and will also make something special to take home.

Looking forward to seeing all grandparents on Wednesday.

Congratulations to the Hutton Family

Sorry about this belated message to the Hutton family but I was waiting for a beautiful photo to post.

Congratulations! to Nina and her family for the beautiful arrival of baby Liam. PPH are so happy to hear of a new little member to our Green Room family and excited for Nina to have another little brother.

We were lucky to meet Liam during Nina's news in Week 6. Please keep the precious visits coming...

Week 8 merit award winners and some broad bean news

Well done to the following super stars for receiving their merit awards this week.

Skyla Boyes and Sian Roberts

Happy birthday to Jordy

This week your child brought home their broad bean that they have been watching grow for a couple of weeks. They did a great job looking after them and for their efforts they all received a certificate of adoption.

Madi's plant had grown the tallest measuring 19 blocks tall. The children counted their block towers to see how tall theirs had grown. They were very clever mathematicians and many had to count into their teens. We use our numbers all the time in Pre-Primary.

If your child would like to see theirs grow into a bean pod, below are some further instructions to continue to look after the broad bean plant:

Happy growing!
